My story

I started over too.

Growing up, I watched family and friends get sick. Some of it was bad luck. A lot of it came from years of putting themselves last: skipping workouts, eating whatever was quick, never sticking with a plan.

I swore that wouldn’t be my story. Then life hit, and it almost was.

I’ve been a gym rat my whole life. Before Covid, I was in the gym every day, helping people exercise.

Then the lockdown hit, and I fell off. By August 2021, I’d gained over 30 pounds in one year.

In January 2022, I lost my grandmother to health problems. She was the closest relative I had. That pushed me deeper into despair.

Money was tight too. I was in survival mode, just trying to get through the week.

Watching the pandemic tear everything apart, I stopped thinking about the future. I just lived for the moment.

I aged 10 years in 2 years. I walked like an old man. Getting out of bed and standing up from a chair took effort. My back ached. My arms, feet and knees got weaker.

The gym rat I’d been my whole life was disappearing right in front of me. And I was only in my early 30s.

Then I woke up. I’d let the outside world control my inner world. To take my body back, I had to take control of my mind. So I started studying how the mind changes the body.

I went back to the gym and had to learn how to move my body again. At first, I wasn’t consistent. I made up workouts as I went and ate whatever I wanted. Nothing changed.

In the summer of 2024, something clicked. I found a way to stay consistent. The gym became the first place I wanted to be every morning. It wasn’t a chore anymore. It was part of my life.

One year later, I was down to about 165 pounds.

It took me a full year, not 12 weeks. There was no quick fix. I just kept showing up.

Most people know what to do. The hard part is sticking with it. That’s why I built MindPwr Fit.

Good work,
